Recently, the Changsha-Hong Kong Youth Talent Exchange and Matchmaking Conference, took place at the City University of Hong Kong. Organized by the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the conference attracted a group of doctoral and master's students from the City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Over 80% of the participants were young talents from Hunan Province. At the event, more than 10 potential collaborations in internship, employment, entrepreneurship, and technology were collected, building a bridge for talent and industry alignment between Changsha and Hong Kong.

Hunan students studying in Hong Kong showed strong interest in starting up businesses in Changsha, inquiring about policies related to household registration, paid-up capital, and other support measures. Many expressed their excitement, "The technical expertise we've acquired in Hong Kong can finally be applied in the industrial landscape of our hometown. This two-way exchange is truly meaningful."

Statistics show that over 80% of the participants' research fields align with Changsha's key industries. In particular, Hong Kong students demonstrated a strong willingness to develop careers concerning new energy and new materials in Changsha.

During the event, the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau reached a consensus with the City University of Hong Kong on deepening talent cooperation. Both sides agreed to explore the establishment of a regular cooperation mechanism through academic exchanges, talent matchmaking, and project collaboration, promoting the two-way flow of young talents and innovative resources between Changsha and Hong Kong. Specifically, the "Hunan Intelligence for Hunan Development" strategy will be leveraged to enhance interaction between Hong Kong-based Hunan talents and Changsha's innovation platforms.

Next step, both sides will continue to release Changsha's industry talent demands, offering more opportunities for Hong Kong youths to develop in Changsha. Additionally, technology roadshows and entrepreneurship and innovation competitions will be held to create more platforms for talent exchanges and collaboration between the two regions.
