The Changsha Symphony Orchestra will put on performances in Bulgaria and Austria from June 26 to July 6, orchestra representatives said on June 23. This will mark the orchestra's first visit to these two countries. The Changsha Symphony Orchestra serves as Hunan's calling card in enhancing cultural exchanges with foreign countries, having performed overseas on numerous occasions. This year, the orchestra will once again tour the European continent, bringing melodies of friendship to Bulgaria, the "Land of Roses," and Austria, the "Kingdom of Music."In Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, the Chinese orchestra will participate in the Sofia Music Weeks & International Music Festival. In Klagenfurt, Austria, the ensemble will perform at the 24th W?rthersee Classics Festival. Additionally, the troupe will visit Vienna, the capital of Austria and the "City of Music," to take part in cultural exchange activities commemorating the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss's birth at the Johann Strauss Museum.The Changsha Symphony Orchestra will leverage this performance tour to promote cultural exchanges. The orchestra plans to engage in in-depth discussions with the organizing committees of Bulgaria's Sofia Music Weeks & International Music Festival, as well as the Austrian W?rthersee Classics Festival to explore potential future collaborations. The orchestra will strongly promote Hunan's cultural and tourism resources to facilitate cooperation in cultural tourism.This concert tour is organized under the guidance of the Hunan Performance Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, hosted by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, and organized by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra.
